HOW TO TAKE MEASUREMENTS FOR FUR CLOTHING?

  1. SHOULDER LENGTH. Measure from the base of the neck to the shoulder bone.
  2. CHEST CIRCUMFERENCE. Place one end of the tape measure at the fullest part of your bust, wrap it around (under your armpits, around your shoulder blades, and back to the front)
  3. CHEST WIDTH. It is the distance between the beginning of your armpits straight through the fullest part of your bust. Measuring tape should not go inside the armpits!!!
  4. BREAST POINT DISTANCE. Measure the distance between the center of the nipples.
  5. WAIST CIRCUMFERENCE. This measurement is taken around your waist just above your belly button – passing through the narrowest point.
  6. HIPS CIRCUMFERENCE. Measure around the fullest part of the hips.
  7. BACK WAIST LENGTH. Measure the length from the base of the neck (on the shoulder) to the waistline level. Before taking this measurement, waist your waist line with a string which will be your point till which you have to measure.
  8. BACK WIDTH. Measure straight the distance between the armpits on the back, ask someone to help, this measurement is difficult to take yourself (note, measuring tape should not go inside the armpits!).
  9. BICEP CIRCUMFERENCE. Measure around the bicep in the widest point.
  10. WRIST CIRCUMFERENCE. Measure around the wrist.
  11. SLEEVE LENGTH. Measure from the point where shoulder seam and neck opening meet to just past your wrist bone to where you would like your shirt coat sleeve to sit. Always slightly bend the elbow when measuring to allow for extra ease.
  12. LENGTH OF THE COAT. Measure from the center back neck point (Cervical Vertebra) to the desired length.
