– Un peletero debe inspeccionar y limpiar su ropa de piel al menos una vez al año. El mejor momento para hacerlo es después de la temporada de frío, cuando sabes que no lo usarás por un tiempo. Esto debe hacerse para evitar que tu pieza de piel se seque y mantener la piel en perfectas condiciones.

La humedad y temperatura es de un valor especial para la prenda de piel real, si se almacena en un lugar demasiado seco comenzará a decaer ya que los aceites naturales comienzan a secar las grasas de la piel y la prenda puede comenzar a romperse. Colocando la prenda de pelo en un lugar cálido y húmedo, el pelo pierde su esponjosidad y empieza a verse aceitoso y pegajoso.
